Ladakh is a region administered by India as a union territory which constitutes a part of the larger Kashmir region and has been the subject of dispute between India, Pakistan, and China since 1947. Ladakh is bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east, the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to the south, both the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan to the west, and the southwest corner of Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass in the far north. It extends from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram range to the north to the main Great Himalayas to the south. The eastern end, consisting of the uninhabited Aksai Chin plains, is claimed by the Indian Government as part of Ladakh, and has been under Chinese control since 1962.

The largest town in Ladakh is Leh, followed by Kargil, each of which headquarters a district. The Leh district contains the Indus, Shyok and Nubra river valleys. The Kargil district contains the Suru, Dras and Zanskar river valleys. The main religious groups in the region are Muslims, mainly Shia (46%), Buddhists, mainly Tibetan Buddhists (40%), and Hindus (12%) with the remaining 2% made of other religions. Its culture and history are closely related to those of Tibet.

Day 1 :

Start journey from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata to Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport, Srinagar in early morning. After arrival, transfer to hotel.
Night Stay: Srinagar

Day 2 :

After early breakfast, check out from Srinagar and start for a journey (6-7 hours) to Kargil via Sonmarg, Zoji La, Dras, Kargil War Memorial etc. Reach Kargil by evening and check into hotel.

Day 3 :

After very early breakfast, check out from Kargil and proceed for Leh. Greenery will start to vanish and you will be witness to see the cold desert now onward. On the way, cover Magnetic Hill, Monasteries at Mulbekh and Lamayuru, the tall Maitreya-Budhha statue in Mulbekh, Lunar Landscapes at Lamayuru, Indus-Zanskar River Confluence, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib etc. Reach Leh after a drive around 7 hours and check in hotel after arrival.

Day 4 :

This day is reserved for rest and cover local points like Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market. Otherwise, free time for leisure.

Day 5 :

Check out from Leh and proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La after a drive around 5 hours. After arrival, check into hotel.

Day 6 :

Today is reserved for excursion to Turtuk Village, Diskit Monastery, Siachen Base Camp etc.

Day 7 :

After early breakfast, check out and proceed to Pangong Tso via Shyok Road via Agham Village, Shyok Village, Durbuk etc. After drive around 7 hours, reach Holi Pangong Tso. Rest of time is free for leisure and enjoy the panoramic view of Nature.

Day 8 :

After early breakfast, check out from Pangong Tso and transfer to Tso Moriri. Reach Karzok after a drive around 7 hours and then onward, free time for leisure.

Day 9 :

After breakfast, check out from Tso Moriri and transfer to Leh. Enjoy the Leh Market by walk in evening.

Day 10 :

After breakfast, check out from Hotel and drop at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh.
